The PayDown Launch Payoff — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

1. Sponsor

Andrew Carr (acarr.org), the maker of PayDown. Contact: andrewlanecarr@gmail.com. This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple Inc., Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, PayPal, or any other company mentioned on this site.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. The Sponsor's family members are not eligible.

3. Entry Period

August 1, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. ET through September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. (Amended August 3, 2026: the entry period was extended from September 1 to September 30, before any third-party entries were affected, so the promotion runs through the app's first full month on the App Store.)

4. How to Enter

Register your email address at getpaydown.com during the entry period. Registration is free. An entry is complete only when the email address is confirmed by using the emailed sign-in link during the entry period — unconfirmed addresses are not entered. One entry per person and per email address; limit one (1) prize per person and per household. Downloading the PayDown app is encouraged but not required to enter or win.

5. Prizes

Five (5) winners will each receive $100 USD (approximate retail value: $100 each; $500 total), paid via PayPal, Venmo, or check at the winner's choice, toward the winner's buy-now-pay-later balance. To claim a prize, a winner must show an active account with a buy-now-pay-later provider (e.g., Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Zip, Sezzle, PayPal Pay in 4) carrying a current balance — for example a statement or app screenshot with the balance visible (account numbers and other details may be redacted). Winners who cannot verify an active BNPL balance within the claim window forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be drawn. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. Prizes are not transferable or substitutable except by the Sponsor. Winners are responsible for any taxes.

6. Winner Selection & Notification

Winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about October 2, 2026, and notified by email. A winner who does not respond within 7 days forfeits the prize and an alternate winner will be drawn. Winners' first name and last initial may be announced on the PayDown blog with their permission.

If there are fewer eligible entries than prizes, each eligible entrant may be awarded at most one prize (per the one-prize limit above) and any remaining prizes will simply not be awarded — no rollovers, re-draws, or substitute promotions. (Clause added August 5, 2026 to spell out the small-pool case; it changes no entrant's odds or prize.)

7. General

By entering, you agree to these rules and to the privacy policy (your email is used to administer the promotion and for PayDown updates; you can delete your account at any time). The Sponsor may disqualify fraudulent or automated entries and may cancel or modify the promotion if it cannot run as planned, awarding prizes from eligible entries received before any such change.
